Required Permissions:
- Accessibility - Required to simulate paste operations so you can paste selected history items into any application automatically.
Privacy Commitment: All clipboard data is stored exclusively on your local device. No clipboard content is ever transmitted to any server. Your data stays completely private.

- Where is my clipboard history stored? - All clipboard data is stored locally on your device in an encrypted database.
- Can I clear my history? - Yes, you can clear the clipboard history from the settings panel or set an auto-clear timer.
- How do I paste an old item? - Press the global shortcut (default: Cmd+Shift+V) to open the history panel, then click the item you want to paste.
- Does PasteLite copy images? - Yes, it supports images, files, and rich text in addition to plain text.
- How do I uninstall PasteLite? - Quit the app, remove it from your Applications folder, and revoke Accessibility permission in System Preferences if desired.
- The app won't launch? - Ensure your Mac meets the minimum requirements: macOS 12.0 or later. Verify Accessibility permission is granted in System Preferences.
Troubleshooting
- Accessibility permission not working - Go to System Preferences > Privacy & Security > Accessibility, remove PasteLite, then add it again. Restart the app.
- Clipboard history not saving - Check that PasteLite is running in the menu bar. If the app was force-quit, history up to that point is preserved.
- Global shortcut not responding - Check for conflicts with other apps. You can change the shortcut in PasteLite preferences.
- App not launching at login - Enable "Launch at Login" in PasteLite preferences, or add PasteLite to your Login Items in System Settings.
